In South Africa, most Grants are from Government and are non-taxable and non-repayable.
However to qualify for the Grant you first have to show how you can put your whole Project together.
I normally assist my Clients to apply for a Loan, with the Government Grant as collateral.
Most Banks I work with accept this. The Business Plan also provides proof of the economical viability of the Project.
In some cases they also might ask you to sign personal surety.
