Im partnering with someone who is starting college i have a catering company do i need 2 proposals?

A friend of mine is starting a college from the ground up she is going in a good direction and asked me to head up or run the kitchen. I thought this was a great opportunity to get my catering business booming seeing that i dont have the space and can only do 2-3 small partys at a time. With all this said i do not not how to put together a proposal for 2 seperate entities who are merging. Do i write a proposal for my catering business and another one for the cafeteria? I just dont know how to get things going and how to protect my business at the same time. please help

It sounds to me like these are two separate businesses. Running the kitchen at the college one business where you will be serving a specific product to a very specific audience.

The catering business is a very different business that will serving a very different set of customers. The catering business will be using some of the facilities of the college and you may have to pay the college rent in order to use the kitchen there. You will need to come up with an agreement with your business partner as to that financial relationship.
