You have taken the first step:  create a business plan  :)

When creating your plan, you should look at some of the things that you are good at as well as some of the weaknesses that you have. These are your strengths and weaknesses. Write them down on a piece of paper and realy give them some thought.

Your business plan will want to focus on the strengths that you have. Also, your plan will need to find ways to solve some of the weaknesses that you have.

Now, look at the opportunities that are in your area. Are there a lot of potential customers?  How do you know? Do you already ahve customers waiting for you?

Next, look at some of the thing s that can stop you from being successful. These are the threats to your business. Try to figure out what they are, and then figure out how you can overcome them. Who are your competitors?

What makes your business different than other maintenance businesses? Why would people choose your company over an other company?  Think hard about this because it is important. It can not just be "because of low prices".  Low prices will only make you poor. Find a way to make your business stand out.  This will become your "competitive advantage"

Now that you have your Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats listed (its called a SWOT analysis) and you know what your competitive advantage is (why people will choose you) its time to start writing the plan. Follow the steps and examples provided.  Good luck.
