Do franchise companies also need a business plan prepared or not?

The franchisors in the South African markets do not always follow the recommendations on business plans and it makes it difficult to implement the learnings from institute such as yours.

Everyone going into business should prepare a business plan.  How else would you know if the franchise will prove profitable for you to purchase.  The franchise company selling you the franchise should provide you with a number of assumptions you will need to use in creating your plan.  Your CPA, attorney should review your plan before you make a decision to buy.  The model that bplans.com offer is universal and is accepted everywhere.  If a franchisor has it 's own format, I am certain bplans model would accomodate them.
