You should concentrate on improving the ranking of your web site on Google, and other search engines. The more visitors that you get the more valuable your site will be.  It should contain information that people are looking for and which you can provide.  A blog should also be used to converse with your visitors. Learn about SEO, search engine optimization.  You can spread your message by participating on the social networks, such a Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter.  Offer valuable information while being social. Join groups related to your business, and post valuable suggestions and advice.  Always leave a link back to your site and blog.  Offer an ebook or video to help promote your business with useful information.  Be patient, it takes time to create a sizable following.  Facebook offers a business page which you should use in addition to the facebook social page.  It is similar to a blog and could be very viral in attracting fans.

This will all take time so be patient.  Post frequently and be responsive to your visitors.
There are programs that transmit your Blog posts to the social networks without having to re-enter them.  Most of the tools to accomplish your goal are free, so capital should not be an issue.
