What are your revenue sources? What are your expenses? How do they compare versus the previous month? Year? These are the basic kinds of questions you want to address. You could even ask your company what kind of information they'd like to see in a monthly report. Who are you writing the monthly report for? If you are using an online bookkeeping system or desktop application, likely it can provide this sort of information for you automatically.
